If your hair is thick, dry or curly, coconut oil is an effective nourishing hair oil, and it’ll help to deeply condition while also restoring moisture.
If you have fine hair (like myself), almond oil works well, offering lighter nourishment without weighing our hair down, and I personally really recommend MoroccanOil, as it works wonders on my fine hair, and they even do a lighter formula of the oil, which is perfect for fine hair.
Always consider your hair’s texture when choosing your perfect oil. If you have hair that’s prone to frizz, sesame oil can help smooth and tame it, while lighter oils like jojoba are perfect for oily scalps.
How To Apply Hair Oil For The Best Results
Start by warming your chosen hair oil between your palms, always starting with a small amount and building it up. When you warm up the oil, it helps to maximize the penetration, especially if you have thick or coarse hair.
Section your hair so you can apply hair oil evenly from your scalp to your ends, although, if you have an oily scalp, you can do from your ears down to the ends, so you don’t make your scalp even oilier.
