The last time I tried this combination over summer I could not stop admiring my hands. Something feels addictive about the energy that neon pink is adding, an even basic jeans and tee outfit will feel styled.
Earthy Retro Waves
This swirled nail art is nostalgic but contemporary in warm orange, sage green and creamy beige. The colors are reminiscent of late-70s ceramics but updated to suit the modern day – organic, joyful, to a certain extent artsy. The design is added with the almond shape that makes it smooth.
This pattern is not difficult to create but it takes time to be created. I prefer wearing a thin liner brush that comes in the shade of Essie Kind of a Big Dill and Zoya Arizona. All curves are hand-drawn, such that the appearance of each nail is slightly different in it, which I prefer. According to nail artist Julie Kandalec, hand-painted designs should have imperfect lines, as it makes it look alive.
Whenever I put this combo, somebody will stop me to inquire about it. Perhaps it is due to its warmer and spontaneous feel – such as wearable art.
Forest Whisper
This mustard-yellow and deep green combination is as though the autumn forest in the sun. It is melancholic and yet refreshing, stable and imaginative. The finess of the detailing with feathers creates a feeling of movement, as in the leaves of a wind.
To accomplish a rich finish, I apply CND Vinylux Cap & Gown and Butter London Marmalade. The strokes of feathers can be created with the help of a small detailing brush immersed in the white gel polish. Nail artist Jin Soon Choi informed Vogue that in the year 2026, green will become the new neutral, as it balances all palettes. That feels true here.
I have cocoon-like knits and gold jewelry when I have this manicure. It imparts a soothing, cool sophistication to my hands that suits the in-between months when fashion seems to be both amusing and reassuring.
Festive Charm
And lastly, the playful holiday design that can be done with almond nails can bring joy just as much as it can bring sophistication. Victorian red and green mix with adorable art – little bows, stars and cherries serve to provide that element of mischief that December is entitled to. It is gung-ho and not kitschy.
In order to replicate it, I adore OPI Big Apple Red with Essie Off Tropic. Apply mini gold stars with nail stickers or thick brush and metallic polish. Nail artist Tom Bachik usually says that details is where you can show your personality, and this design confirms it.
The next time I wear such is during every holiday season when I alternate the minimal nude appearance with something of this kind. It is somewhat reminiscent, somewhat fancy-schmerz and absolutely cheering up. Beauty should after all make you smile when you see it going on.
Arctic Sparkle Elegance
This design is as sensationally first winter of breath crisp, glittering, and endless chic. The tips of the icy blue glitter tips are colliding with the soft nude bases creating the ideal almond shape. The edges are highlighted with silver accents, and small snowflakes are sparkling in the center, which gives the appearance of a part glam and festive sophistication that is not only frozen. It is too flashy to wear at a Christmas party but too subtle to wear on a daily basis.
I tend to prepare this by mixing Gelish Arctic freeze with OPI Snowfalling for You and finishing the blue with CND Silver Chrome Dust. It has to be crisp with the lines being sharp like that the snowflake decals pop.
When I wear anything such as this, I immediately get a feeling of holding a fragment of a winter sky in my hands. It is the type of manicure that shines and brightens your mood even without uttering even a single word.
Crimson Celebration
Classic red never really goes out of focus but in 2026 it is returning with a dimension. In this case, a shiny scarlet base is combined with a clear white decorative nail with a golden bow and crystal decorations. It is ready to party but high and the ideal combination of glamour and coziness. The snowflake and gem play make it appear like a couture accessory as opposed to a manicure.
In order to achieve this appearance, I would have Essie Really Red and OPI Alpine Snow with a sprinkle of Swarovski Crystals in the middle of the bow. This fashion is proven by nail artist Tom Bachik who said that crystal accents are jewelry to your nails.
The last time I had a similar manicure, at the end of last December, it seemed it was the perfect accessory to all clothes, whether big sweaters or evening dresses. In other cases, the most suitable form of confidence can be as little as the ideal red polish.
Silver Snow Night
There is a heavy navy blue and a flash of silver and white dots in this dramatic winter combination. The design is a compromise between playfulness and refinement that will be ideal in the cold months where you need something warm but dramatic. The snowflake design is a nice culmination and the metallic inclination renders it sharp and contemporary.
I use the Deborah Lippmann Midnight Rendezvous to smooth out the base of a navy blue color and then apply CND Silver Chrome on a striping brush. It is the overprinting trick that is, each metallic line should be allowed to dry before another line is applied to maintain the contrast clear.
One celebrity nail artist, Julie Kandalec, once remarked that deep-blue color brings a sense of undressing power. I could not say otherwise, these nails are midnight skies just before the snow begins to fall.
Frosted Reindeer Charm
Mixing art and tradition is something that is fun to do. This design achieves that very thing combining deep blue colors with a slight sense of humor with a small reindeer accent nail. The winter atmosphere is introduced with white snowflakes and fine details in the form of dots, and glossy blue makes everything look luxurious. It is cute and chic, at the same time, a type of manicure that can be discussed.
My base is Orly Royal Navy and my snow details are Zoya Purity. Suzi Loves Cowboys with a splash of red gel leaving the tip of the nose can be hand-painted on the reindeer art using a fine nail brush.
I always remember that I should not take beauty too seriously whenever I wear something like this. Nail art must be happiness in action, some shininess, some narrative and plenty of character.
Emerald Radiance
This fancy version of almond nails is deep green combined with champagne gold. The emerald matte colors are opposite of nude and golden accents and crystal embellishments line one nail to give a glamorous appearance. The starburst patterns bring the element of motion and brightness and thus this manicure seems like a holiday party in itself.
To this, I apply OPI Stay Off the Lawn! in combination with Essie Good as Gold and finish the bare nails with Swarovski Emerald Crystals. The velvety touch that is trending everywhere this season is provided by the matte finish. Green in 2026, according to Allure is the new red and it is bold, grounded and timeless.
It is one of those manicures that are at the same time royal and comfortable. Whenever I see this shade of green, I imagine walking in the forest, golden lights and silent affluence.
